Opera Theater Fountain
Ruse, Bulgaria

Rusethe fifth largest city in Bulgaria,  is often referred to as “Little Vienna” for its striking 19th and 20th century architecture. Recently Ruse has undertaken a number of urban renewal projects one of which is just outside the Opera Theatre.



Canada's Wonderland
Toronto, Canada

One of the world’s most attended theme parks, Canada’s Wonderland, marked its 30th birthday with an innovative fountain light show and a refurbishment of “Royal Fountain”. Original to the park, “Royal Fountain” measures 325’(99m) x 80’(24m) and has undergone its first upgrade since the park launch in 1981.



Yas Island
Abu Dhabi, UAE

The Yas Island Welcome Pavilion in Abu Dhabi boasts one of the world’s largest and most spectacular customized water features. This multi-million dollar development serves as the gateway to Ferrari World, the biggest covered entertainment city on the planet.



White Square
Moscow, Russia

The new business district of White Square, located adjacent to the legendary Red Square in Moscow, is a new hot spot for international business and big brand names. Located near the Belorusskaya Metro Station, the central piazza houses a distinctive water feature. This water feature creates a dynamic focal point at the terminus of three major pedestrian corridors and is in full view of three world class office towers...



World Voices - Burj Khalifa Tower Lobby
Dubai, U.A.E.

Crystal and international artist Jaume Plensa, worked together again on the "World Voices" water sculpture at the Burj Khalifa Tower in Dubai, having previously worked on the iconic Crown Fountain in Chicago, U.S.A.

 

Located in the exclusive residential entrance lobby of the world's tallest building, the artist envisioned an installation expressive of the “diversity of our global society and a celebration of life."



Central Memorial Park
Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Calgary’s historic Central Memorial Park was reopened in May, following an $11 million (Canadian dollars) renovation, which includes major new fountains, and the local population are already enjoying the new fountains. The park is the city’s oldest, listed as a ‘Provincial Historic Resource’, it dates back to 1885, when land for the park was first set aside.



Galeria Malta
Poznan, Poland

This water feature is located at ground level (level 0.00) and within the central atrium area. A 25m high glass dome roof is situated overhead. As the focal point to the atrium, this circular water feature can transform from a simple contemporary reflecting pool into a dynamic and ever-changing element. Water effects include pop jets to 1.2m operating heights. Note that maximum site operating heights shall be adjusted depending on resultant splash.



Oasis of the Seas Aquatheater, Cruise Ship

An architectural marvel, The Oasis of the Seas spans 16 decks, 220,000 gross registered tons, carries 5,400 guests. Currently it is 50% larger than the largest cruise vessel in the world and promises to be a “complete sensory experience” for its passengers. The dazzling AquaTheater at the stern of the ship is pool by day, transforming in the evening to feature water and light shows of a scale unimagined in a passenger ship...



Quartier Des Spectacles
Montreal, Quebec, Canada

At the heart of Place des Festival is a 6500 sq m/4 mile space containing a theatrically-inspired water feature. Hundreds of LED illuminated fountain jets in red and white symbolize theater curtains and light projectors along this dramatic corridor. Reuniting with Crystal Fountains after their award-winning project Promenade Samuel de Champlain, Piscines Soucy relied on Crystal Fountains technical know-how and custom product development to wow the crowds…

Phoenix Civic Space Park
Phoenix, Arizona, U.S.A.

The new Phoenix Civic Space Park downtown revitalization project is nestled into 2.77 acres (1.12 hectares) in the heart of downtown Phoenix. A collaborative effort between the city of Phoenix and Arizona State University offering residents, workers, ASU students and downtown visitors a park with unique urban design. Artist Janet Echelman’s sculpture, “Her Secret is Patience” is the focal point but another big hit is the interactive fountain….

The Woodlands, Texas, U.S.A.

Waterway Square is a one-acre public plaza in the “downtown” of The Woodlands, a 28,000-acre master-planned community of office buildings, shops, restaurants, entertainment venues, greenspaces and urban residences. The

The Avenues
Safat, Kuwait

The Avenues, Kuwait's largest mall and one of the Middle East's premier retail and leisure destinations, officially opened its first phase in April 2007. The Avenues is located in Kuwait's bustling Al Rai district, housing some of the world's best known and most-loved brands.
The Avenues has been designed to reflect the natural forms and elements of the dessert. Its flowing architecture has set new standards in contemporary building and it is a dazzling addition to the retail landscape of the Arab World...



Samuel de Champlain
Quebec City, Quebec, Canada

 

Just past the Pont de Québec and the Pont Pierre-Laporte, what had once been a largely industrial landscape dotted with petroleum storage tanks is now a leafy linear park filled with pedestrians, runners, and cyclists. This 1.5-mile-long section of the Promenade Samuel-de Champlain is part of a vision for a continuous emerald swath that extends another 6 miles to an area of shoreline near the fortified walls of the Old City...

 



Fontaine de Tourny
Quebec City, Quebec, Canada

La Fontaine de Tourny, which adorned the avenues of Tourny in Bordeaux until 1960, began a new life before the National Assembly in Quebec City in July 2007. It was presented to Quebec City on the occasion of its 400th anniversary by Peter Simons. Piscines Soucy was entrusted with the work of installing the water circulation system and synchronizing the water jets. The fountain showcases 16 frogs, 4 gargoyles and 4 lions, all squirting water, and an overflow basin. In order to successfully complete this project Piscines Soucy utilized LED lighting and Plume Jets from Crystal Fountains...



Town Lake
Austin, Texas, U.S.A.

TOWN LAKE in Austin, Texas, is part of the redevelopment of a 25 acre public park in the heart of downtown. Opened in 2007, the project has already been awarded Best City Beautification and Best Neighborhood Gift to Austin (BEST OF AUSTIN AWARDS 2007).

 At the center of the Town Lake area is a 6,100 sq. ft (566 sq. metre) ‘dry plaza’ fountain created in a dramatic spiral of 93 programmable Choreoswitches™ by Crystal Fountains. Jets of water are choreographed to appear at different heights, in different spots, and at different times of day...



Zlote Tarasy
Warsaw, Poland

Zlote Tarasy Warsaw, Poland   Zlote Tarasy Shopping Mall is located in what is considered to be the architectural heart of Warsaw and is one of the most ambitious retail/mixed use projects ever to be conceived in Poland. Winner of International Shopping Center of the Year Global RLI Awards 2007, helping to revitalize central Warsaw. The 225,000 square meter project includes a sunken plaza and an iconic, undulating glass roof. Zlote Tarasy means "golden terraces" and the design of the cascading terraces and plaza with fountains provide entertainment for visitors.



Crown Fountain at Millennium Park
Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.

Chicago is home to a number of architectural landmarks. In 2004 they unveiled their newest landmark, Millennium Park, a world-class artistic and architectural extravaganza just off the famed "Magnficent Mile". The park has transformed unsightly railroad tracks and parking lots along prime lakefront into an architectural showcase. A collection of world-class artists, architects, planners, landscape artists and designers contributed to this unprecedented landmark. Crystal Fountains worked with the artist Jaume Plensa and full design team on the "Crown Fountain" taking interactive art, technology and water-shaping to new levels.

Madinat Al-Fahaheel Fahaheel, Kuwait   The impressive main water feature at Al Kout is nestled between two malls and covers approximately 300 by 50 meters. Within the mall are three distinct water features.



Interactive Feature at Science City at Union Station
Kansas City, U.S.A.

Interactive Feature at Science City at Union Station Kansas City, USA   Situated in the Festival Plaza of the newly renovated rail station, this water feature is an interactive and high tech illusion. A closer look reveals the water is actually flowing UP from the floor to the first basis to upper basin. Computer controlled sequencing creates spectacular patters, enhanced at night by colour controls for each nozzle. Sensors detect approaching movement and open a "gate" that invites people to view the water feature from the inside out.



Buick Auto Show
Across America, U.S.A.

Buick Auto Show Across America, USA   Buick is considered at the forefront of technology and sophistication in the automobile marketplace. When they unveiled their latest line to the industry, they wanted their display to reflect these brand qualities. They approached Crystal Fountains to design a water feature that was portable, moving from top industry shows across North America. The result is a highly innovative water feature with customized water and light sequencing effects. Shows were choreographed with Buick's audio visual presentation running on multiple plasma screens overhead.



Ballantrae
Columbus, Ohio, U.S.A.

Ballantrae is an upscale, planned community surrounded by golf courses and sprawling horse farms. The water feature is a children's playpark that also doubles as the entrance to the community. The landform and rockface are entirely manmade and span over 100 feet wide (30.4 meters). Kids come out in droves to play in the animated waters.



BurJuman Centre
Dubai, U.A.E.

BurJuman Centre Dubai, UAE   Located in the heart of Dubai, the BurJuman Centre is a distinctive retail landmark comprising 2.8 million square feet of space (800,000 square feet of retail space). With more than 300 prestigious stores, including the main anchor of Saks Fifth Avenue, BurJuman is considered "the world's most luxurious shopping destination".



Easton Town Center
Columbus, U.S.A.

Children's Dry Plaza Feature at Easton Town Center Columbus, USA   It's here, it's there. It even spells out 'Easton'. This feature at the heart of a busy shopping center shows water at its playful best. It's a welcoming "people place" where adults sit and relax fascinated by the constantly changing patterns, while children are free to take off their shoes and chase the water.



Calgary Airport
Calgary, Canada

Helping to soothe weary travelers, 2 small oasis fountains are nestled in the waiting areas of Calgary's new airport renovation. Symbolizing Alberta's vast outdoors, these two fountains feature the sports of rock climbing and sport fishing. Split faced stone water wall, copper/brass/bronze sculptures, misting fog and spouting water beckon visitors back to the outdoors of one of Canada's most adventurous provinces.



Dolce Vita
Porto, Portugal

Dolce Vita Porto, Portugal   The oval water feature located in the main atrium of Centro Commercial Dolce Vita, is adjacent to the new Antas stadium, home of the O'Porto football club. In this multiple level shopping centre developed by Amorim Immobiliaria, the highly visible water feature plays center stage. Visitors can't help but be engaged by the constantly varying animated water displays linking all four floors. Crystal Fountains together with its team of specialists worked closely with architects Suttie Mindlin of St. Louis and local construction teams to ensure the water feature effectively delivered on the ambitious design challenges of the cathedral-like space.



Gaia Shopping Water Feature
Lisbon, Portugal

Shoppers at GAIA Shopping can sit, watch and enjoy the elegant and delightful sequencing water feature designed specifically for this busy Portuguese shopping center. The 18 foot by 18 foot fountain is packed with innovative high tech features. Controlled by a PLC computer, Laminars and Leapers with color changing fiber optics are combined to produce streams of glowing water. Animated effects with lighting and fog make this feature entertaining and innovative.

Durban, South Africa

Gateway Theatre of Shopping Boulevard Water Feature Durban, South Africa   Visitors to South Africa's largest shopping destination are greeted by a number of fountain effects including a 30 meter "ocean wave". This main entrance fountain consists of five areas including a wave, sequenced rings, burst jet, stepped cascades and rear sloped cascade creating a fountain of many personalities. During the day, the fountain operates at lower levels encouraging play in the fountain and for sitting areas. In the evening, the fountain is transformed into a dramatic sound and light show with effects choreographed to five popular musical scores.

La Perle
Guangzhou, China

La Perle Guangzhou, China   The city of Guangzhou is an important commercial center and is considered to be the capital of Southern China. La Perle in Guangzhou is surrounded by luxury hotels, high rise commercial buildings and famous shopping complexes. It contains a collection of shops with the world's most prestigious luxury brands and attracts over 700,000 visitors a month. The exterior fountain is animated and beautifully lit to provide a focal point for the entrance. The two interior features represent opposing forces: one contains an animated fountain with a dramatic burst jet which rises to over 88 feet (27 meters) through architectural openings reminscent of a seasheet. The second fountain is a quiet reflecting pool that serves as the fluid link throughout the design.



Metropolitan
Warsaw, Poland

Metropolitan Warsaw, Poland   Designed by the world famous Sir Norman Foster, the Metropolitan is his first project in central Europe. The former site of the royal residence, the Metropolitain occupies a most prestigious location fronting onto historic Pitsudski Square and is considered to the cultural center of Warsaw. The building is the uncommon combination of location, architecture and technolgy. At the heart of the building is the central courtyard with a dry plaza water feature. The water enlivens this space and provides interaction for its commercial and retail visitors.



Ottawa Airport
Ottawa, Canada

Ottawa Airport Ottawa, Canada   The Ottawa Airport Authority wanted to create a showcase befittng Canada's capital. This new airport is a three level, open concept design. The three-tiered water feature within the airport was deisgned to integrate all three levels and to portray the local area with its series of lakes and rivers connected by 44 locks. The Rideau Waterway system was built over a century ago and is a major landmark throughout the countryside. The water feature cleverly connects each level by waterfalls and waterwalls to create a memorable representation of the magnificent scenery in the area.



Renaissance Plaza
White Plains, New York, U.S.A.

Renaissance Plaza White Plains, New York, USA   The City of White Plains New York was looking for a way to revitalize the downtown core and chose an old, overgrown park surrounded by highrise buildings, measuring just 70 feet (21 meteres) by 20 feet (6 meters) long, intersecting the city's two main streets. Its goal was to attract people, investment, renovation and development. A one-of-a-kind musical fountain was created that draws people right to the heart of the plaza. The fountain has a regular schedule of water shows programmed to 20 different songs. During quiet times, the fountain encourages people to sit, relax and listen. The plaza has quickly become a civic landmark and encouraged 1,700 units of new residential housing in the surrounding area.



Tennenbaum Residence
Malibu, California, U.S.A.

Tennenbaum Residence Malibu, California, USA   Situated in the courtyard of a Malibu beach home, a blue-green glass tile custom pool and spa is combined has state of the art water features . Designed with a custom remote control, a series of color changing Laminar streams create a private show that rivals the best public theme park. Internationally renowned pool and spa designer, David Tischerman, combined the best of water sequencing to create this unique residential water feature.



The Exhibit Features at G.M. World
Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A.

The Exhibit Features at G.M. World Detroit, USA   Located inside General Motor's new world headquarters is a 45,000 square foot vehicle showroom. The water feature act as the hub for this large exhibit space. The fountain consists of a pool with sequenced water effects created with four pairs of rings with Waterswitch jets shooting to a height of 10 feet (93 meters). Programmed light and music produce a series of show storylines. The water feature program is modified every 4 months when new automobiles are showcased.



The Mall at Cribbs Causeway
Bristol, England

The Mall at Cribbs Causeway Bristol, England   Shoppers are greeted at the roundabout entrance by the large aerated water wall and columns of foamy water. After parking the car, visitors are escorted to the shopping centre by the long water spine. At the entrance, a stepped cascade creates billows of white foam 8 feet (1.6 metres) high. Inside, a pre-programmed feature dominates an atrium with waters that dance as high as 20 metres, bringing shoppers to a standstill. We are proud to be associated with this British Council of Shopping Centre award winner for 'Best Shopping Centre' in the UK.



Trafford Centre
Manchester, England

The Themed Water Features at Trafford Centre Manchester, U.K.   It's worth visiting The Trafford Centre in Manchester, England just to see the eight individually themed water features spread over 1.3 million sq. ft of retail space. To delight visitors and encourage them to roam the project, Crystal Fountains created water feature designs that complement the diverse architectural structures and themes of the center.



W Hotel
New York, New York, U.S.A.

W Hotel New York, USA   Conceived by Toronto interior design firm Yabu Pushelberg, Crystal Fountains designed this minimalist feature for the lobby of the flagship W Hotel in Times Square. Water flows across the glass ceiling and cascades down the glass walls while subdued backlighting casts shimmering light across the lobby floor.



Antara Polanco
Mexico City, Mexico

Antara Polanco opened its doors in 2006 to become the place where culture, shopping and entertainment become one. Antara is an imaginary world that comes to life in an architectural space filled with light and harmony, where irreplaceable experiences take place. Three water features decorate this unique shopping centre. The exterior feature in front of the hotel is a crescent shaped overflowing pool almost as long as a football field. The Cafe fountain consists of a horseshoe shaped overflowing pool with a sunken wood deck center portion, while the Snake feature playfully winds its way through a line of nine palm trees.



Kuala Lumpur City Centre Fountain
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

When in Kuala Lumpur, visit the City Centre Lake Symphony Fountain. Imagination, high technology and magical effects combine to create this beguiling water feature at the foot of the Petronas Towers, the world's twin bulidings at the time. People linger by the fountain, fascinated by the unusual patterns. It's like nothing they've seen before - expressed in an element they know: water.
