About the Project:

Ballantrae is an upscale, planned community surrounded by golf courses and sprawling horse farms. The water feature is a children's playpark that also doubles as the entrance to the community. The landform and rockface are entirely manmade and span over 100 feet wide (30.4 meters).

Children's amusement and safety was paramount when designing this water feature; from the child-friendly grading of custom rock designed to discourage climbing to the integration of playful leprechaun faces spitting water out of the rockface. This feature was themed around Irish folklore to reflect its mysticism and playfulness. The entire community development borrows heavily on Irish themes with its connection to the natural, green Irish landscape and rubble walls. Kids come out in droves to play in the animated waters.
